Kilbeggan (Irland, Blend)
Der Kilbeggan ist ein irischer Blend, der in der Cooley Destillerie hergestellt wird. Nach mindestens drei Jahren Reifung wird der Whisky mit 40% abgefüllt. Die nachstehenden Tasting Notes sind das Ergebnis von zwei Verkostungen. Die Farbe im Glas ist Hellgold bis Gold, wobei Farbstoffe zugesetzt werden. Jean-Marc Vallée nahm 2013 auf dem Regiestuhl Platz und inszenierte das auf wahren Tatsachen beruhende Drama "Dallas Buyers Club". Der Film wurde mit insgesamt drei Oscars ausgezeichnet und erhielt noch andere Ehrungen. Der Film spielt 1985 in Texas. Zentrale Figur der Geschichte ist Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaughey). Kurz vor dem 50-jährigen Jubiläum gab Disney eine Neubearbeitung des Materials in Auftrag.
