Kurz vor dem 50-jährigen Jubiläum gab Disney eine Neubearbeitung des Materials in Auftrag. Der mir bis dato unbekannte Regisseur Tim Miller inszenierte 2016 den Film "Deadpool". Der Film ist Teil der X-Men Filmreihe und erzählt die Origin-Story des Mutanten Deadpool. Die 2008 unter der Regie von Vicente Amorim entstandene Produktion "Good" wurde in Budapest gedreht und basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Theaterstück von C. P. Taylor, das bereits 1981 Prämiere hatte.
