Die Destillerie wurde 2002 abgerissen und geh\u00f6rt dem Getr\u00e4nkekonzern Diageo. Der hier verkostete Single Malt wurde 1989 destilliert und 2009 mit 57,5% abgef\u00fcllt. Insgesamt wurden 6000 Flaschen abgef\u00fcllt.<\/p>\n<p>Im Glas ist der Whisky hellgold\/gold.<\/p>\n<p>In der Nase sehr kr\u00e4ftig und anfangs unangenehm scharf. Butter oder \u00d6l k\u00e4mpfen sich vermischt mit Zitrusfr\u00fcchten an die Oberfl\u00e4che. Immer wieder taucht der metallische Geruch von Rost in meine Nase. Sp\u00e4ter kommen mehr Fr\u00fcchte (Himbeeren und Pfirsch) zum Vorschein. Im Hintergrund vielleicht ein Hauch Apfel. Deutliche Vanillenoten.<\/p>\n<p>Auf der Zunge ist der mit Fassst\u00e4rke abgef\u00fcllte Whisky sehr hei\u00df. S\u00fc\u00dflich herb mit fruchtigen Aromen, Honig, etwas Rauch und Teig. Gegen Ende trocken und bitter.<\/p>\n<p>Der Abgang ist mittellang, trocken, bitters\u00fc\u00df mit Honig<\/p>\n<p>Dieser Pittyvaich hat mir nicht sonderlich geschmeckt, obwohl ich den Single Malt auch nicht als Katastrophe bezeichnen w\u00fcrde. F\u00fcr meinen Geschmack ist der Whisky zu bitter und zu alkoholisch\/scharf.
