K\u00fcrzlich habe ich den\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plur.at\/?p=5815\">10-j\u00e4hrigen Benromach<\/a>\u00a0verkostet, der mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Heute wurde eine 0,2l Flasche des Benromach Peat Smoke ge\u00f6ffnet. Der Whisky wurde 2005 destilliert und 2014 mit 46% abgef\u00fcllt.<\/p>\n<p>Im Glas hat der Whisky eine sehr helle Farbe (Stroh, helles Gold)<\/p>\n<p>In der Nase dominiert anfangs eine Mischung aus durchaus kr\u00e4ftigem Rauch und s\u00fc\u00dfen Aromen. Ein wenig Schokolade und viel \u00fcberreife Bananen. Heu und trockene Gr\u00e4ser. Leicht bissige Zitrusnoten. Mit der Zeit tritt der Rauch eher in den Hintergrund. Es kommen Vanillenoten und Fruchtaromen dazu.<\/p>\n<p>Im Mund gibt sich der Benromach \u00fcberraschend kr\u00e4ftig. Anfangs Rauch und intensive Vanille. Pfeffer und Schokolade. Gelegentlich ist der Whisky richtig hei\u00df auf der Zunge. Gegen Ende kr\u00e4ftige, bittere Noten und frisches, feuchtes Gras.<\/p>\n<p>Der mittellange Abgang ist etwas rauchig, bitter-s\u00fc\u00df und trocken.<\/p>\n<p>Der Benromach Peat Smoke ist zwar gut, kann aber nicht ganz an den 10-j\u00e4hrigen heranreichen, der mir irgendwie ausgewogener in Erinnerung geblieben ist.
