Joel und Ethan schrieben gemeinsam das Drehbuch und teilten die Arbeit als Regisseur bzw. Produzent untereinander auf.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Cage und Holly Hunter spielen die Hauptrollen ganz wunderbar und erhalten von John Goodman, William Forsythe, Sam McMurray und Frances McDormand passende Unterst\u00fctzung. Der flotte und in keinster Art und Weise ernstzunehmende Road Movie wei\u00df durch die ungew\u00f6hnliche Geschichte und die durchgeknallten Charaktere zu gefallen. Einige Szenen brachten mich wirklich zum Lachen. Trotzdem kann der Film den gro\u00dfen Werken der Coens nicht das Wasser reichen, obwohl man den einzigartigen Stil der Br\u00fcder bereits damals erahnen konnte.<\/p>\n<p>Technisch geh\u00f6rt die DVD leider zu den schlechtesten Silberlingen, die ich je in H\u00e4nden halten durfte. Die Bildqualit\u00e4t ist \u00e4u\u00dferst d\u00fcrftig und stark verrauscht. Die deutsche Dolby Prologic Tonspur ist schlecht abgemischt, viel zu dumpf und bietet in manchen Szenen ganz schlechte Dialogverst\u00e4ndlichkeit, sowie starke Lautst\u00e4rkeschwankungen.
